Dear reader
Should I post an article with a clear political statement? Some might say: Don’t do this, Peter, you might annoy somebody.
I post this article all the same as it is not my intention to annoy somebody but to share a truly interesting view on Switzerland.
The country underwent sometimes harsh, sometimes even unobjective critique. No country can be perfect (and he who is without sin may cast the first stone…) but in Switzerland we have a tendency to overrate our own imperfection.
I thus enjoyed the reading of Richard W. Rahns article, published August 12, 2014 in the Washington Times. Richard W. Rahn is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute and chairman of the Institute for Global Economic Growth.

He gave is article the title “Switzerland, a Country that Works” – a good eye-catcher.
He closes with a fairly good statement: “It is fashionable to think that countries are increasingly ungovernable. The Swiss prove this not to be true.”
I wish you all a nice weekend!
Best,
Peter Lorange
